Ballet Zebola

The cultural roots of this international group lie in the old Congolese kingdom. Zebola is an inauguration ceremony of the highest importance and includes various dances, such as Wassakumba, a fire dance for young men or Nzango Abanga, a jumping dance for young women. The dancers, adorned with masks, furs and raffia, want to overcome their everyday problems through rhythm, melody and dance. Ballet Zebola & Odjadike bring the rhythm from the Congo with them and inspire their audience with traditional costumes and a unique show.
