The marina has been enchanting its guests for over 100 years in the stately rooms with a unique view over the Elbe to Teufelsbrück. Created according to the plans of the famous Hamburg architect Fritz Schuhmacher, the marina was built as a brick building in the local style.
This already fascinated the passionate sailor Kaiser Wilhelm II and so in 1914 he inaugurated the “Old Hamburg Yacht Club”. However, the villa was not only used as a clubhouse for the yacht club, but also served as a coffee hatch for the workers in the petroleum port.
The marina has been showing its best side for many years. Whether for a wedding, conference, gala or studio recording - the venerable building is becoming more and more versatile. The extraordinary location of the marina may also be responsible for this. Located on the edge of the harbor on the southern bank of the Elbe, the villa offers a unique setting to celebrate and work undisturbed.
The Gerresheim team plans and implements every event professionally and with an eye for detail - and has done so for 40 years!
